This project was begun as a means to attract attention in my community to my ongoing campaign to treat my severe scoliosis. The series is focused on Cedar, a village on beautiful Vancouver Island where I work as a barista.

Begun from a place of existential fear around my changing body, the work of documenting Cedar in oil has helped to ground me in natural beauty and a sense of gratitude for the community around me as I grapple with my progressive condition.
